MY LIFE EXPERIENCE IN LIFE IN AFRICA – AYOO FLORENCE

I came to Kampala in October 03/ 2002 due to insecurities in the Northern part of Uganda. Some of the factors that led to my migration to Kampala are as follows;

The rebels attacked the village I lived in and at every single attack many people could be killed week after week, in the process of the rebel attacks my very own son was abducted.
Staying in such a place was not very easy, so I decided to live the place with my family to come and settle in Kampala. In Kampala I in stay and live in Acholi quarters Banda Zone one.

Formerly, I was a stone quarry digger and it was my main occupation, to earn a living and it was not easy to cut stones, it was a very frustrating job and I needed another opportunity.
I sort an opportunity from LIA and I was privileged and got a job with LIA.
It was such a great thing that happened to me and has changed my life in a number of areas specifically, increase in my income earnings, that am able to do the following;

I am able to facilitate my family needs, paying school fees for my children, buying clothes for the family and I am able to pay house rent for the family.
I am so grateful to LIA and great appreciation to God.
